So how to go Pulau Aur from Mersing?

There are boats waiting at the jetty to transfer you from the Mersing Jetty to Pulau Aur. It will take approximately another 4-5 hours in order to reach Pulau Aur. Sometimes it will take even longer depending if the sea is rough during transportation.

If this is your first-time travel to Pulau Besar, you might want to find out how to go Pulau Besar. In order to get to Pulau Besar, you will first need to go Mersing Jetty. If you have already get a package from the resort, the resort will arrange a boat transfer for you to Pulau Besar. It is usually included in the accommodation package. However, it will be best for you to check with your resort.

It will take about 25 minutes to reach Pulau Besar from Mersing Jetty. You can ask your resort to arrange your boat pick up to match your arrival time. However, if you couldn’t make it on the schedule date you can arrange for a Charter boat for RM200. You can always check with your resort is there is any availability. Usually they will only arrange with there are enough people for a ride.

Also, all the resorts usually do not arrange for boat transfers at night. It is recommended for you to take a half way off on Friday in order to catch the boat. If you able to reach Mersing Jetty before 7pm then you there is a chance for you to catch the last boat. If not, you can choose to travel on Saturday.

How To Go Pulau Besar From Singapore

If you are travelling from Singapore, the most painful part is to cross the border. Long traffic is the main reason that lead to a longer travel journey. Recommended option will be getting a van or driver rather than drive yourself. This is because there is a dedicated lane for Van and it will go through faster as compared to private cars and taxi.

By Air-Cond Coach: It will take about 3 hrs to Mersing Jetty. Coach leaves Singapore, Golden Mile Complex at 0630 hrs

By Car: Drive along the Kota Tinggi trunk road to Mersing. It will take approximately 2 ½ hours.

How To Go Pulau Besar From Kuala Lumpur

By Air: The fatest option where you can take a connecting flight and get to Senai Airport, Johor. Then you can get a taxi to Mersing Jetty which will take about 2 hours.

By Car: Drive along the North-South Highway, exit at Air Hitam interchange. After the toll booth, turn right and proceed to Kluang town. Follow sign boards to Mersing. Journey takes 4 ½ hours.

Return Boat Transfer:

Boat from Mersing Jetty to Pulau Besar at 1230 hrs daily
Boat from Pulau Besar to Mersing at 1030 hrs daily.
